WILLIAM MORRIS DIANTHUS DOORMAT - MEDIUM

$40.00
18 X 30

The beautiful carnation surrounded by leaves featured on this mat is inspired by an Arts and Crafts wallpaper held in the V&A’s archives, designed by William Morris.  It was originally created in 1895–6 for Compton Hall in Wolverhampton, England, the home of Laurence Hodson, and it was probably the result of a joint effort between William Morris (1834–96) and his assistant J.H. Dearle (1859–1932).

This delightful mat is designed and crafted to be stylish and functional. Made from the best quality all-natural coir fiber, and hand stenciled with eco-friendly dyes for long-lasting vibrancy.

  • Material: 100% natural coir with PVC backing
  • Hand-painted with eco-friendly dyes; multiple stencils are used to recreate stunning artwork
  • Coir - derived from the husks of coconuts - is a natural and biodegradable fiber, an excellent dirt-trapper, and is known for its scraping abilities
  • Recommended for use in a sheltered outdoor area that is not exposed to direct sunlight to preserve the longevity of the colors
  • Shake or vacuum clean
  • Dimensions: 18" x 30". 1/2" thick
  • The handcrafted touch of artisan skill creates slight variations in color and size; color discrepancies may occur between this product and your computer screen
