One of nature's most spectacular plants, the Amorphophallus titanum, or Titan Arum, produces a dramatic bloom that can reach up to 10 feet in height. Native to the equatorial rainforests of Sumatra, it attracts pollinating insects by exuding a foul stench that mimics rotting meat - hence it's stinky nickname "Corpse Flower". In 1999, The Huntington was the site of the first known bloom of the species in California, attracting more than 75,000 visitors.
This souvenir enamel pin set depicts both the stinky plant, and one of its pollinators.
